Alien: Earth - Maginot Creatures

Wētā Workshop collaborated on 'Alien: Earth' over a long period, joining the project in its earliest stages to work directly with showrunner Noah Hawley in developing the series' original creature roster. Working closely with Noah from the initial creative conversations, we helped translate his vision into fully realized lifeforms, exploring not only their appearance but also their biology, behavior, and life cycles. Together we developed creatures such as the Eye Midge, Tick, Fly, and Orchid, each designed to evoke a distinct primal fear while feeling like believable additions to the Alien universe. The result was a collection of creatures that are as biologically intriguing as they are unsettling, reflecting Noah's ambition to create monsters that surprise audiences rather than simply shock them.
