Rebel Moon - Props & Weapons

In 2021 Wētā Workshop Design Studio was approached by Props Master Brad Elliot to design a number of physical props for Zac Snyder's Rebel Moon, many of which would also be built for on-set use by our manufacture department. The pieces ranged from Imperial handguns to farmer's rifles, from coin-based currency to robotic restraint mechanisms that would ambush and capture their targets. The firearms required that they be designed around the novel premise of a mechanism that superheats small pellets of metal and fires them as molten rounds.
