Y2K - Killer Bots

For A24's Y2K, we worked with director Kyle Mooney and writer Evan Winter to imagine a collection of vicious killer robots... with a twist.
-
These bruisers were designed as if they had self-assembled as soon as the clock struck midnight on the 1st of January 2000, after the Y2K bug triggered worldwide technological chaos at the turn of the millennium.
-
Built from familiar household electronics and unmistakable relics of the ’90s, each machine combines nostalgia with unpredictability to become a dangerously unhinged killing machine.
-
Safe to say, we’ll never look at virtual pets the same way again.
