Predator: Badlands - Yautja Weapons

In 2024, director Dan Trachtenberg invited us to collaborate on the latest chapter in the Predator franchise, ‘Predator: Badlands’.

Set further in the future than any previous instalment, the film introduces Dek and his clan as the most technologically advanced version of the Predator species yet. That evolution is reflected in the arsenal conceived by Trachtenberg and developed through our Design Studio.

It was a privilege for our team to contribute to the Predator film canon and help introduce new weapons to the series, including the sword and bow (a weapon previously explored in Predator games, but never seen in the films). Alongside the Yautja’s iconic shoulder cannon, wrist blades, shuriken, and combistick, each weapon was reimagined to feel more sophisticated and culturally refined. Building on the mixed-media aesthetic introduced in Prey, the designs combine copper-toned metals, bone, ornate filigree, and intricate Yautja inscriptions.
