Mortal Kombat - Cole

In 2019 we were brought in to work with Director Simon McQuoid helping establish some key design elements for the Mortal Kombat film.

Cole was a new character created for the film so he required a significant design process to uncover his personalised arcana. We tried to find ways of relating Cole's arcana to his Japanese heritage - zen gardens, basket weaving, tattooing and traditional art. Cole's MMA background was also a starting point for the bandaging look.
