Men in Black: International - Aliens

The aliens were an interesting mix of the classic hiding in plain site variety and very exotic forms. Small and large, hero and background the design team got to have a look at a huge range of alien forms. This included not only alien races but some alien animals and pets. The alien designs were resolved as pure make ups, digitally enhanced make up/suits and fully digital so we worked closely with many other departments as the designs progressed. The fact that many of the alien weapons and props were also designed at Weta Workshop meant we could ensure there was a good continuity across all the facets of the film were involved with.

The challenge on this project was to stay true to the look and feel of the previous films but also find twist that gave the designs a feeling they were produced outside of the US MIB branch.
