Hercules - Characters

Weta Workshop's design studio produced hero character and prop design for the reimagining of the classic tale of Hercules (2015). One of the studio's main challenges was to explore both the myth and reality of the filmmakers approach to the story. This meant designs needed to feel culturally grounded, but at the same time allow for the idea of the legend. For example, a giant tortured human that once had two eyes now only has one and this gives rise to the myth of the cyclops.
